Summer Connect (Video Teaching)

One of our summer assignments is Summer Connect, which we wrote about and shared a teaching from in June. Over 1500 students all over the country are gathering in hubs to watch live-streamed teaching and apply it to their lives together throughout the week. They’re doing real community and evangelism and having tons of fun growing in Jesus.

I have two assignments. The first is to oversee and coach the 20 hub leaders from across the Mid-Atlantic as Co-Regional Director. The second is to help plan and execute the technology and agenda for the weekly broadcast as Technology Director.

It’s been great! In Jersey, we have 5 student-led hubs across the state. At our Toms River hub, part-time staff member Nicole Stevens had the privilege of leading a student named Barbara to Christ! A couple weeks later, Barbara brought her parents to the church of one of the students in that Toms River hub. At a Maryland hub where mostly UMBC students go, our hub leader Carlos Urtecho was able to lead international Japanese student, Shingo, to Christ as well. Praise God! So many great stories coming out of Summer Connect. I will share more next month as well!

Read more in this PDF from students across the country about their experiences with Summer Connect.

I also wanted to share with you one of the most encouraging talks from this summer. It is about living day after day experiencing the living Jesus! Please be encouraged by this word!

Also, please pray for our remaining two weeks of Summer Connect! So excited to have seen students grow and step out in faith this summer because of this!
