Summer Book Recommendations (By Jenn!)

A Christian Romance ?? I’ve heard many times that finding good, clean romances that are  engaging, lovely and fun- has become really hard to find. So I made it my mission to try and find some Romances that fit the bill and I feel as if I have struck gold!  Authentically, Izzy follows the life of Izzy Edgewood as she tries to find her place in life while dealing with her meddlesome older cousin! If you love books and Lord of the Rings, and women who love God and want to find a good match, this is the book for you! This also happens to be a 3 part family series and all 3 books are wonderful!

I’ve made it a point this year to read 1 non-fiction book a month.  Sy Montgomery is a well known and well loved author of many animal non-fiction books. When I recently saw that she has a new book out, my co-worker advised me to read this one first. She said ” Do you want to cry over an octopus? you should really read this one” and if there is one thing you need to know about me- is that I always want to get attached to character enough to cry! This book is fantastic! you are learning so much about these amazing creatures!

( the author also narrates her own audiobook! which is also great!)

If you must know something about me, it’s that I love Epistletory style books. Basically, it’s books that are written like letters ( think The Epistles from the Bible!)  I was listening to Authentically, Izzy  and in the book this book was brought up! I had to read it! How could I not? It really did not disappoint! if you enjoy the classics such as Anne of Green Gables and The Little Princess, then you should definitely pick this up!  It’s a short read, and it follows the life of an orphan who was generously sponsored to go to school, the only condition is that she must write to her sponsor every month. She doesn’t know who he is, so she dubs him Daddy-Long-Legs, since that is the only thing she caught sight of.
