Renald, having fun at JCru, our monthly statewide gathering.

Hello Friends!

There’s so much to share, so let’s get started.

RADIATE is our yearly regional conference. It’s where we gather 1,000 plus students from NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA and WV in Baltimore to let Jesus’s Spirit help grow and mature us as we seek to transform the college mission field with the message of the gospel.

With the theme being “RESTORE,” powerful worship, a vibrant community, and passionate, Christ-centered, biblical teaching are a few things that happened at the conference—not to mention the New Year’s Eve party! Students heard from great speakers and got to connect with other students from across the Mid-Atlantic region.

It’s no wonder student Renald Sanrelus (right) left RADIATE with unforgettable memories. He’s a junior at Kean University, who’s studying psychology. I got to ask him what exactly he took away from RADIATE, and here’s what he said:

“Going into RADIATE I was asking for relief from life in NJ and for more individuals who can widen my support group. God gave me a lot of relief towards certain things that have been weighing heavy on my heart. It’s also renewed my energy towards serving. It [the conference] made me want to be part of the Great Commission both at home and in the world. For [my college], I’ve found a stronger desire and reason to see it accomplished.

“Cru has allowed me to, first, see a lot of things that haven’t yet changed in me that still need work. Second, it’s provided me with a support group of individuals my own age with the same foundation of Jesus. And third, it’s given me a great opportunity to serve.”

Renald also has a passion for photography (one I share as well!) Once he posts some of his pictures from RADIATE, we’ll be sure to share them on Facebook! Also, check out this fun video from the conference.
