Fostering Community

Fostering a caring community is crucial for our international students to hear the Gospel message when we share it. Of course every Friday on campus, we foster this during our evangelistic dinners, but this happens in other ways also.

Field Trips // On September 27 we held our annual farm trip. 40 students came and several churches joined in—The Chapel in Warren County even provided the whole meal! It was such a joyful day together.

Service Opportunities // Every Wednesday, teammate Judy leads a growing ESL group (pray we can secure a permanent campus room). Students feel cared for in a safe place to practice their English. Also – in early October we also took students winter clothes shopping. Many not only need rides but also don’t know where to find deals or what to wear in NJ winters. It was fun giving tips and cheering them on as they prepared for the cold!

Home Groups //Once a month we host home groups!  On October 3, about 50 students gathered in five host homes for meals, games, and the gospel. What a beautiful night of laughter and deepening community.

Pray all these efforts are not in vain and ultimately lead to more and more students trusting in Christ as their Savior.

Milan Follow-Up 🇮🇹 //Since our July mission trip, our team has been following up one by one. Now the local church has launched weekly evangelistic dinners! The first, on September 27, drew 13 students—including six from our July events. Praise God for this fruit!

Special Prayer Request 🇮🇱 // From October 21–31, I’ll be touring Israel with Pastor Dave Paszkiewicz of Berea Baptist in Kearny (he generously covered the trip!). Please pray for safety and for Jenn and the kids while I’m away.

Save the Date:  🦃 Thanksgiving is one of the best times to share Christ’s love. Would you consider hosting two international students at your family meal this year? (Details here.)

Thank you for your prayers and partnership—together we are reaching the nations here and abroad!
