Overseas Mission Trip… Where to?!

Longer more detailed video HERE.

We’re so motivated for this Kingdom work. This semester, we’re praising God for “Jason” (a pseudonym), who came from East Asia with no Christian background. At first Jason wanted nothing to do with the faith, but after attending our Friday dinners and learning about Jesus, it ended up “making sense” and Jason surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized on Easter Sunday at one of our partner churches!

Another praise is from just this last week: Rick (pseudonym) one of our students from a large Middle Eastern (and very closed) country professed faith in Christ after moving through our Bible discussion series, attending another partner church and ultimately having a dream about Jesus!! Pray for both Jason and Rick as we and our team seek to help them grow in Christ.

While not all students are following Jesus yet, each one experiences His love as seeds are planted week after week. We were especially encouraged by a note from graduating seniors Akshay and Komal:

“You all feel more like family than just a group of people. As international students, life can be tough. This group gave [us] a sense of belonging. That feeling of not being alone… it means everything.

Stories like these fuel our passion to reach international students. Because ISI knows how valuable such a strategic ministry is here in the USA, they finally launched Global Reach, a new initiative to reach international students wherever they go in the world.

Through Global Reach, we’re thrilled to be leading a mission trip to Milan, Italy—a global city with over 17,000 international students–50% of whom are in fully English programs. My cousin and her husband serve in college ministry there, and after much prayer and planning, our proposal was approved by ISI!

From 2022 Rome Visit

The plan is to partner with 10 leaders from my cousin’s church to organize three Friday night restaurant banquets with free dinner, games, live worship, topical discussions and gospel presentations. We’ll also follow up with students during the week and do outreach on campuses through prayer walks and personal flyering. Our prayer goal is 100 students at each dinner.

We fly out June 25 and return on July 22! Because our whole family—Jenn, the kids, and I—will be going, the costs are significant. Thankfully, we’ve already raised enough support for most of our airfare, housing, and car rental, and we’re personally covering for the kids’ costs.

We’re trusting God to provide the remaining $9,000. This will fund: three restaurant dinners for 100 students, ministry supplies (flyers, giveaways, etc.), follow-up meals, team activities, daily groceries and meals, social media advertising and remaining travel expenses.

Toward this mission, would you consider a special gift of $750, $250, $75, or any other amount?
Your generosity will be such an encouragement as we take such a huge step of faith.

If so, make checks payable to ISI and mail them back with the provided envelope by June 15. You can also give online at: SFORZAGRAMS.COM/GIVE. All gifts are tax-deductible! Feel free to call/text/email us with any questions: JSforza@internationalstudents.org

Whatever you decide, our full appreciation for you is unwavering. Thank you!
