Two Praises and Prayers

I’m sitting here filled with praise and gratitude for a calling that’s so special, strategic, and energizing. Jenn and I often reflect on how blessed we are to reach the nations for Christ—right in the same county where we grew up and became believers! Praise God !

One big praise from this past month was our Celebration Dinner on April 5th. Our North Jersey ISI team gathered over 100 partners and students—including our regional director and national president, Seng Tan—for a night of worship, international food, student panels, and testimonies. We even had a panel of non-believing students share why they keep coming back, which was so affirming! I had the chance to speak briefly, and Jenn and I loved seeing our whole team—staff, volunteers, churches, and friends—in action together.

Another highlight was my ministry training in Dallas (April 7–11) with 20+ other ISI staff. The sessions covered spiritual warfare, prayer, world religions, time management, and lots more. It was intense but incredibly valuable. Thanks for praying for Jenn as she held down the fort solo—thankfully there was a budget for some takeout! 🙂

Please pray for ongoing one-on-one meetings with “Daniel” (pseudonym), a non-believer who’s been attending almost everything since Fall 2024. We’ve been digging into Scripture together weekly using ISI’s “M28” tool. Even though Daniel is super busy, he agreed to do this through video chats! Pray for the Holy Spirit to move as I continue sharing Christ more directly in the coming weeks.

Please also pray for the final events of the semester. We are prayerfully hoping many students join our staff and volunteers on Good Friday and Easter. Also we have our final home groups on April 25, our final semester field trip on April 26 and our final campus meeting on May 2. We also will be hosting a graduation dinner on May 21 for our graduating seniors and their families who will be flying in from all over the world. This is going to be a special opportunity for us and their families, who mostly know us positively and often thank us for caring for their kids.

Pray also for our summer ministry plans, as we have a lot lined up. More on that in our May letter. Thank you so much for your partnership in the gospel!!
