There’s no doubt God is blessing this ministry. At Stevens Institute of Technology, we’ve connected with over 295 international students, with 60-80 non-believers regularly attending our Friday dinners. These students see our ministry as their “thing” even though we clearly preach Christ. They are actively participating in discussions, home groups, field trips and more.

This assures us that the Lord is seeking the lost, and we trust that the seeds planted will bear fruit in His timing. We hope our monthly prayer letters have been a blessing to you. Please keep praying with us that the Lord would open our students’ hearts and minds to recognize Jesus for who He truly is!

The purpose of this letter is to ask if you would consider making a special one-time contribution.

ISI staff, including us, must raise support for needs-based salaries, social security, ministry, and health expenses. By God’s grace, our regular needs are covered. Thankfully, Jenn’s job provides health insurance, reducing our ministry budget (our autistic son’s therapies are covered under this plan).

However, we’re praying for provision of other specific needs:

1. An extra $300-500/month for hospitality initiatives, including food for many student meals and home groups. It seems we are always feeding students!

2. Covering the $3200 annual “FSA” health fund allowed through ISI, in addition to what is covered through Jenn’s job coverage.

3. About $1500 to pay for several Christian students to attend our national student conference in December; this will cover airfare and conference costs

4. About $1000 to cover a special movie outreach at a private theater in Hoboken in January, where we will also provide dinner for over 100 students and share the gospel 

5. About $800 to cover a special trip for for us to take 7 Christian student leaders to attend Sight+Sound show as a thank-you for them

The total we are trusting God for is $12,200. This covers all of the above immediate needs and it helps create a needed buffer in our ministry account for reserves.
