The harvest is genuinely plentiful in this ministry. There is not only a harvest, but a genuine interest and engagement in all we offer international students. Dozens and dozens keep coming out. Praise God. On top of this, we could not do what we do without staff, student leaders, volunteers, donors and actively involved churches. We are so thankful the Lord has given a heart to so many believers who are plugged into what we are doing. Here are some praiseworthy updates from the last month.

Our Bible “discussions” are very engaging every Friday. We have covered many topics from this semester from Creation to The Fall, and every week – we are pointing to Jesus. In fact, from this, I was able to meet one-on-one with “Damien” , an agnostic student from India who really has been seeking since before he arrived. I asked lots of questions about what he believes and why he became agnostic after being raised mostly Hindu. Pray for Damien! He is also continuing to come out and he is in my “home group.”

“Home groups” are a chance for students to enjoy a meal in an American’s home once a month. We do the same thing but in smaller groups: food, games, Bible discussion. These are led by staff and active local volunteers and farther volunteers who are able to provide transportation. Our last one was Friday, October 4th. We had about 50 students in 6 homes! Praise god! Pray for the next one on November 8th.
Another great opportunity was our farm trip on October 5th. What a joy to see the Kingdom at work. Over 60 students go to enjoy a classic American tradition because of your generosity and because of many Christians joining together to provide transportation and hospitality. We also were able to team up with “The Chapel,” a church near our farm which provided a meal for all of us before we headed over to the farm. So much Christian kindness and hospitality at work!

Finally we were also able to do our annual “coat drive” where we drove students to go shopping for winter clothes, but we also stayed and provided much welcome advice about what to buy and not buy. They were super appreciative and it was a truly fun time.

ALL that we do aims to create a genuine community with our students so they can experience Christ love and truly understand the gospel as we share it again and again. Please pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to keep filling us and leading us. Thank you!!
