In our second year of international student ministry, God’s faithfulness continues. Dozens of non-believers see our ministry as their community, even though we overtly preach Christ. At Stevens Institute of Technology, we’ve connected with 241 students, with 50-70 attending our Friday dinners. Field trips and hospitality efforts continue. A recent highlight was an alum from China getting baptized on 10/5!

While interest is high in our activities, we recognize the need to “play the long game” as only a few trust Christ. This affirms that the Lord is actively pursuing the lost, and we trust that the seeds we plant will bear fruit in due time. We hope our monthly prayer letters have been a blessing for you.

The reason for this special letter is to ask if you would consider giving a special one-time gift. 

ISI staff, including us, must raise support for salaries, social security, ministry, and health expenses. Despite losing $350 in monthly support, by God’s grace, our regular needs are covered. Thankfully, Jenn’s job provides health insurance, significantly reducing our ministry budget (our autistic son’s therapies are covered under this plan).

However, we’re praying for specific needs:

• 1. An extra $300-500/month for hospitality initiatives, including food for our student lounge and home groups.
• 2. Covering the $3200 annual “FSA” health fund allowed through ISI, in addition to Jenn’s job coverage.
• 3. About $4000 for ISI’s regional conference in March and the national conference in San Diego in June, where the whole family will attend.
• 4. About $3000 to cover two new upgraded and necessary ministry laptops and one upgraded home desktop computer

The total we are trusting God for is $11,000. This covers all the above immediate needs and it helps create a needed buffer in our ministry account for reserves.
